Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company - WikiPilipinas: The Hip 'n Free Philippine Encyclopedia

In September 1962 by George Ty, together with businessmen Don Emilio Abello, Don Pio Pedroso and Placido Mapa, Sr. founded the Metrobank primarily to offer financial services to the Chinese-Filipino community. In 1963, the bank’s first branch opened in Divisoria, Manila. Four years later, the bank expanded outside Manila and opened their first provincial branch in Davao.
In 1970, Metrobank started expanding outside the Philippines. Its first international branch was in Taipei, Taiwan. In 1973, the bank established a banking office in Hong Kong and in 1975, another Metrobank branch opened in Guam, the first Philippine bank to open in American territory. Branches in Los Angeles and New York followed after. In 1977, the Central Bank authorized Metrobank Foreign Currency Deposit Unit (FCDU) operations.

Fortune Tobacco Corporation - WikiPilipinas: The Hip 'n Free Philippine Encyclopedia

Fortune Tobacco Corporation is the leading cigarette manufacturer in the Philippines and one of the five largest privately-held cigarette manufacturers in the world. The company is a part of the Lucio Tan Group of Companies, founded and owned by the second richest Filipino,Lucio Tan.
In 1966, when Ferdinand Marcos was the president, Tan founded Fortune Tobacco. The very first plant of the company started in a small building with only second hand machines in Marikina. The structure which houses the plant was made of old scrap lumber and GI sheets.
In 2010, Philip Morris Philippines Manufacturing Inc. and Fortune Tobacco entered a 50-50 joint venture and created a new corporation called Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco Corporation (PMFTC). The partnership will translate into a 90% market share for PMFTC since Fortune Tobacco accounts for 60% of the market share while Philip Morris holds the 30%.

Fujitsu Computer Products Corporation of the Philippines (FCPP) was established on February 1, 1995. It became the 65th. overseas subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited, a leading provider of internet-focused information technology solutions and one of the world's leading manufacturers of Hard Disk Drives.
Considering the need for a clean environment, FCPP established its factory in an 8.4 hectare land amidst the pristine sorroundings of Carmelray Industrial Park in CanlubangCalambaLaguna. Using the latest technologies, FCPP mass produced not only Hard Disk Drives (HDD) but its key components like the Magneto-Resistive (MR) Heads and Head Stack Assemblies utilizing Fujitsu's leading edge production systems.

The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) (Tamilபிலிப்பைன் தொலைதூர தொலைபேசி கம்பெனி), incorporated on 28 November 1928, is the largest telecommunications provider in the Philippines. It offers the largest and most diversified range of telecommunications services across the country through its three principal business groups, namely: Fixed Line, Wireless, and Information and Communication Technology. The company uses the most extensive fiber optic backbone and fixed line, cellular and satellite networks to provide the best services for their consumers.
It was incorporated in 1928 following the merger of four (4) telephone companies under US ownership, namely, Philippine Telephone and Telegraph CompanyCebu Telephone and Telegraph CompanyPanay Telephone and Telegraph Company, and Negros Telephone and Telegraph Company.
